The full Gloryhammer timeline, accurate as of Return to the Kingdom of Fife (June 2023).
This page is a timeline of all the events that take place in the Prime Gloryhammer universe (Excluding Terrorvortex and Universe 38-B in the interest of keeping article size manageable). More information in a graphical format can be found in the official Gloryhammer timeline post on Reddit.[1] All times are coordinated to Dundonian Standard Time (DST).
Before Dundee (B.D) and After Dundee or Anno Dundax (A.D) is a designation used to label or number years used with the Dundonian Calendar. This calendar era is based on the year of the founding of the city of Dundee by the legendary hero Dundax.
10,000 B.D.[]
The Starlords of Eternity wage an epic battle against an unknown evil, defeating it with the power of three artifacts; the three artifacts are then hidden in a barren wasteland known as "Scotland" on a remote planet to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands.[1]
4975 B.D.[]
Thorulax the Omnipotent builds a Galactic Nexus beneath Mount Law in eastern Caledonia.[2]
31 B.D.[]
A humble basket weaving peasant named Zargothrax is born in Auchtermuchty.[1]
20 B.D.[]
The legendary hero Dundax is born.[1]
0 A.D.[]
Dundax founds the city of Dundee, on the banks of the River Tay in eastern Caledonia, and proclaims the Kingdom of Fife. Zargothrax's home is destroyed to make way for a royal palace.[1]
1 A.D.[]
The principality of Angus begins to spread out from the mighty city.[3]
2 A.D.[]
Zargothrax reads the forbidden scrolls of Anstruther[1], and makes a Demonic Pact with the Elder God Kor-Virliath[4], granting him immense magical power and swearing to have his revenge on the Prince of Fife.[1]
450 A.D.[]
Prolon I founds the order of the Knights of Crail in Fyfdonia.[2]
624 A.D.[]
Zargothrax creates numerous clones, which he conceals in cryogenic stasis (to be awakened in the event of his death) beneath the citadel of Dundee.[1]
700 A.D.[]
A mysterious hermit is spotted in a cave beneath Cowdenbeath; He hides there for 307 years.[1]
743 A.D.[]
The Great Eagle War is fight between the principalities of Angus and Fyfdonia, in which many innocents die. However, in the end, the forces of cosmic justice prevail, and the two lands unite into one. The city of Dundee, located within Angus, becomes the capital of the new Kingdom of Fife.[5]
865 A.D.[]
Zargothrax discovers the Knife of Evil in the swamps of Paisley, and uses it to corrupt unicorns to do his evil bidding.[1]
940 A.D.[]
Proletius is born in Crail.[6]
944 A.D.[]
The Hootsman is born in Unst.[7]At an unknown point in his life, he becomes an immortal cyborg.
968 A.D.[]
Angus McFife is born[1] in the city of Pitlochry.[8]
980 A.D.[]
Ser Proletius becomes the Grandmaster of the Templar Knights of Crail.[6]
992 A.D.[]
- September 14th, 992 AD (First Battle for Dundee)
An army of undead unicorns led by the evil sorcerer Zargothrax attacks the city of Dundee, resulting in an epic battle and the capture of the city by the forces of evil.
- September 15th, 992 AD
In the aftermath of the invasion of Dundee, Angus McFife flees the city on horseback.

Ralathor 38-B arrives from Timeline 38-B in order to escape being vaporized by the Sword Lord of the Goblin Horde, he betrays his promise to the Sword Lord and reveals the path through the Dwarven caverns to Angus McFife.
- Unknown Date
The forces of justice led by Angus McFife triumph over the armies of Zargothrax, liberating the city of Dundee from the evil wizard's dark grasp, freeing the unicorns and Princess Iona McDougall from their respective curses, and imprisoning the sorcerer in a frozen pool of liquid ice.
993 A.D.[]
The frozen body of Zargothrax is transported to the Fortress of Crail to be kept for all eternity.[1]
1007 A.D.[]
Ralathor 38-B agrees to be vaporized by Ralathor Prime, the latter of whom would go on to become a professor at the Arcane College of Wizards in Dundee.[1]
1021 A.D.[]
Angus McFife II is born in the now prosperous city of Dundee 29 years after Zargothrax was cast into liquid ice.[1]
1022 A.D.[]
An ominous signal from the Terrorvortex dimension causes the timeline to splinter off into Timeline-38B
1035 A.D.[]
The Hootsman sails to America to claim his destiny, eventually becoming the King of California.[1]
1038 A.D.[]
Proletius dies of old age.[6]
1527 A.D.[]
Angus McFife V invents the telescope and discovers outer space.[1]
1529 A.D.[]
Angus McFife V Travels through a dimensional gateway to the year 1993 A.D.[1]
1800 A.D.[]
The Kingdom of Fife spreads across the known galaxy.[1]
1827 A.D.[]
Zargothrax's frozen body is moved to the Fortress of Triton.[1]
1961 A.D.[]
A 50-Megaton nuclear bomb is developed and tested, but is summoned to the distant past in Timeline-38B by Zargothrax Clone Alpha 1.
1970 A.D.[]
Angus McFife XIII is born[1] in the city of Ceres in Fife.[9]
1992 A.D.[]
- April 11th, 1992 AD
The cult of Chaos Wizards attacks the stronghold of the Space Knights of Crail on Neptune's moon of Triton, releasing Zargothrax from his frozen prison of liquid ice and plunging the galaxy into chaos.
- Unknown Date
A final battle is held between the armies of the Galactic Empire of Fife led by Prince Angus McFife XIII, and the forces of Chaos under Zargothrax's command in the skies above Mars. After learning from Ralathor that the war on Mars was merely a distraction and that Zargothrax was on earth concocting a far more sinister plan, The Hootsman flies to Earth faster than a bullet and sacrifices himself by detonating his neutron star heart in a Neutronic Transnova explosion, destroying Earth to prevent Zargothrax from summoning the Elder God Kor-Virliath and dooming the entire universe.
The resulting devastation also tore a hole in the fabric of reality referred to as the Terrorvortex of Kor-Virliath. On the other side lay a new Universe and new Timeline
Zargothrax went through the portal first and Angus McFife XIII followed shortly after.
1993 A.D.[]

Survivors of the destruction of Earth build a monument to the Heroes who Died in the War of Space Dundee with Glaswegian Time Crystals, which have the curious property of existing at all points in time simultaneously. Needless to say, the people of Medieval Dundee were surprised to discover a monument lamenting their destruction 1000 years in the future.[10]

Angus McFife V arrived from the past, finding the ruins of Space Dundee. Dismayed and disheartened, but never beaten, he began his quest for the golden fortress of Aberdeen, only to find himself trapped and surrounded in the HEAVENS OF THE DEMONFLAME. He defeated some goblins and demons of the netherstorm and finally found peace here. [11]
