Proletius was Grandmaster of the Knights of Crail from 980 AD to 1020 AD.

Biography[]

992 A.D., Prime Universe[]

Details about the past life of the Grandmaster of the knights of Crail are not exactly known, but what is certain is that he was strong enough to receive the title of Grandmaster of the Knights of Crail.

Of course, the Grandmaster of the knights of Crail can only be a person who was born, raised and trained in Crail, as well as showed their strategic and tactical talent. Proletius likely had immense skill in a variety of tasks. He was undeniably very talented and strong, both physically and mentally, which helped him become the Grandmaster of Crail. However, it is not known for certain whether Proletius became the Grandmaster of Crail by inheritance, or whether he won this title on his own.

It was he and Angus McFife I who led the knights of Crail to the final battle against the dark army of Lord Zargothrax, and it was also he and his knights who defeated army of darkness in the fields of Dunfermline.

The Grandmaster Proletius died at the obscenely old age of about 140, which was a bitter loss for the forces of light.[1]

1992 A.D., Prime Universe[]

After April 11th, 1992 A.D. and the Dark Lord Zargothrax was freed from his prison of liquid ice, Proletius was resurrected by Techmages on instruction of Ser Regulon as a hologram. After returning to life in such an unusual way, he returned to the position of Grandmaster of the Knights of Crail, reforming them into the new Space knights of Crail.[2] Grandmaster Proletius led the Space Knights of Crail in defence of the moon Phobos during the Battle of Mars to support Angus McFife XIII, the decedent of his king from time long ago. The Space Knights and Proletius were among the surviving armies of the Forces of Justice before they fell during the defence to the Chaos Wizard Tharon-Zul.[3]

The Proletius of this universe was stabbed by Zargothrax with the Knife of Evil, which turned him into a Mighty Scion of Evil

Terrorvortex 992 A.D.[]

In an alternate world where Lord Zargothrax has enslaved the entire former Kingdom of Fife, Proletius and the knights of Crail have been turned into Deathknights by the Dark Wizard.[4] Of course, since the knights of Crail began to serve the dark forces, no battle at Cowdenbeath did happen, and since it was the knights of Crail in an alternative, original world, came to the aid of the besieged Dunkeld, defeating the forces of evil. In this same world, where Zargothrax rules, the knights not only did not come to the rescue, but participated in the siege of the city on the side of darkness, which led to the rapid fall of the city under the onslaught of evil. Even Angus McFife XIII could not help in the siege, for his Hammer of Glory was useless in the new world.[5]

Under the orders of Zagrothrax, Proletius and the death knights of Crail engaged in night raids on various villages, where they violently slaughtered the peasants, bringing terror to the enslaved people. What they did in addition to this, and local battles against the resistance of the forces of light, is unclear.[4]

Terrorvortex 993 A.D.[]

The last battle of the dark Grandmaster Proletius, was the battle of Cowdenbeath, between the forces of good and evil. Failing to properly arrive at Cowdenbeath, Proletius and his death knights were erased by commander Ralator's volley of nuclear missiles.[6]

1022 A.D., Universe-38B[]

Many Knights of Crail have been stationed at Dundee, guarding the city's walls as they were sworn to an oath to protect Dundee.[7] Grandmaster Proletius among the knights in Dundee during Zargothrax Clone Alpha-1's attack, it is likely that he is counted among the heroes of Dundee who fought valiantly but failed to overcome the wizard. He emerges from the rubble, clutching the corpse of King Angus.[8] He retreated to the Fortress of Crail having sustained grievous injuries, ordering the gates of the citadel be shut to the rest of the world and swearing that none would be worthy of their ancient technology, and none would ever breach their walls to revive the wizard frozen in liquid ice.[8][9]

1022-1042 A.D., Universe-38B[]

During the time between 1022 A.D. and 1042 A.D. the Knights of Crail would become known as the Brotherhood of Crail, and would stand alone to save their lands from goblins to prevent the sorcerer's reign from overcoming them.[8][9] Presumably, the robots which they use to help defend their land are counted among their ancient technology, these robots also may have include the Mecha-King and the Robot Prince.[9][10]

1042 A.D., Universe-38B[]

Grandmaster Proletius is called by Angus McFife II to hail to an oath he had sworn long ago. He travels east to meet up with Angus McFife II, where he is reunited with The Hootsman and meets Ralathor. The heroes were instructed by the Oracle of Glenrothes that to reclaim the Vorpal Laserblaster of Pittenweem they must find a way through the ancient Dwarven Tunnels despite the route having been lost for aeons. Following rumours of a powerful goblin warlord, the heroes arrived in the caverns beneath the ruins of Dundee. Ser Proletius leads the way into the dark tunnels as they search for the Sword Lord of the Goblin Horde. When the Sword Lord was defeated he bestowed his enscrolled Goblin Blade to Ser Proletius, the pommel emitting an enscrolled light to lead the way as it twisted and turned throughout the tunnels and revealing the exit. Proletius, Angus McFife II, and The Hootsman continued on their quest having been bid farewell by the hermit. Many weeks of questing passed as the heroes travelled across the plains of East Kilbride to the distant lands of Strathclyde. Passing through the icy chasms to the mountains lays a citadel guarded by robots, upon the arrival of the heroes they find nothing within the citadel, as Zargothrax Clone Alpha-1 had already retrieved the blaster.[11] The Forces of Justice pursue the nuclear clone to the Fortress of Crail, realizing they stood no chance against Zargothrax Clone Alpha-1 the heroes search for the Robot Prince of Auchtertool as the Brotherhood of Crail is slaughtered.[10] It is likely they are successful, as their secret weapon arrives shortly after the Prince of Fife confronts the double wizard. It is unknown what happens to Proletius during the battle. As the three ancient weapons collide the Starlords of Eternity were awoken, erasing the reality and killing everyone except Angus McFife II.[8][10]
